PURPOSE: To provide a convenient dividing tine supporting structure capable of relatively readily changing the projection amount of a dividing tine or exchanging it by applying a contrivance to the structure only at the tine supporting unit only by manual works without using a tool or, even if a tool is required, only by a simple operation of the tool.
CONSTITUTION: In this dividing tine supporting structure, the dividing mechanism for acting on a mother stock of rush conveyed by a conveyor and dividing it into small stocks is composed of a dividing tine 25 and a drive mechanism for making the dividing tine continuously perform admission to the root part of the mother stock and refuge therefrom. The projection amount control mechanism (E) for performing adjustable setting of the projection amount of the dividing tine 25 from a tine supporting unit 46 is designed so that a spring-energized ball 48 and plural cuts 49 for engagement with the ball 48 may be distributed to the dividing tine 25 and the tine supporting unit 46. The spring force is adjusted so that the dividing tine 25 may be moved from the tine supporting unit 46 by an external force of ≥a specific value acting on the diving tine 25 in the tine direction.
