PURPOSE: To supply workpieces by quickly moving a hand for gripping the workpieces and to ensure that the workpieces are gripped by the hand.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of loading members 10 each having a number of corrugated portions at its upper end for aligning workpieces 1 are held in place and a pair of feed plates 15 each having an identical corrugated portion at its upper end are disposed between the loading members 10 and an intermittent feed mechanism for moving the feed plates 14 longitudinally and vertically is provided, and a conveying plate which is moved by a cylinder is projected to the center of a conveying rail 2. On a support 4 which is raised and lowered by the cylinder 42, a table 3 is supported in such a way that it can be moved crosswise by a cylinder 43, and a hand 72 for gripping the workpieces is connected to the operating rod 5 of a ball spline which can be moved longitudinally by a cylinder 51 installed on a table 3, and the operating rod 5 is allowed to freely reversibly rotate.
