Abstract:
PURPOSE: To perform automatic uncasing, content taking-out, and folding of a case, such as a currugated board box, at the same station.
CONSTITUTION: A case the band of which is cut for removal has front and rear walls sucked and held by means of a front wall suction cup 36 and a side wall suction cup 44 on a swing support table. Simultaneously with opening of an upper flap, the case is released from support by the swing table to open a lower flap under its own weight, and an article is dropped. The front wall suction cup 36 is made to pivot by 90° by means of a swinging device 37 comprising a double parallel link mechanism to fold the case. The folded cases are laminated on a pallet and a belt is run around the laminated cases for binding.
