To provide a nanocalorimeter device (10) capable of operating, in such a way as to measure and characterize the thermodynamic characteristics and other physical characteristics of materials basically limited into nano-scale size.
The nanocalorimeter device (10) includes a thin film membrane (12), having a first surface (14) and a second surface (16). A frame structure (18) fixes a plurality of hollow cells (24 and 26), arranged in such a way as to be adjacent to and in thermal contact with the first surface (14) of the membrane (12). The location of one microheating element (28) or more arranged, in such a way as to be adjacent to and in thermal contact with the second surface (16) of the membrane (12), which approximately corresponds to the location of the plurality of hollow cells (24 and 26) fixed adjacent to the first surface (14) of the membrane (12).
