Abstract:

To provide an inexpensive composite resin composition high in visible ray transmittance and low in haze value, exhibiting high rigidity and surface hardness even if its inorganic nanofiber content is low, and retaining its performances even after produced by melt kneading.

The nanocomposite resin composition is such that inorganic nanofibers 10-150 nm in average length and 5-75 in length/thickness ratio are homogeneously dispersed in a transparent thermoplastic resin. This resin composition has a visible ray transmittance of 89% or greater with 1 mm thickness and a haze value of 3% or less. Because of being fibrous in the shape of the inorganic material, even if a melt shaping is made at 180-260°C and at a shearing rate of 1-1,000/s, the nanocomposite resin composition produced keeps its transparency at high levels owing to inhibiting the inorganic material's aggregation.
