Title:
NANOSIZE COAT-PROVIDING ENGINE OIL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2015113462
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine oil capable of: forming a soft and highly adhesive ultra-thin coat excellent in lubricity on an inner surface of a cylinder only by adding, to the engine oil, several percents to more than ten percents of a powder capable of quickly becoming a soft coat excellent in lubricity and dispersing it; thereby reducing the surface energy of the inner surface of the cylinder and a piston ring to reduce the friction resistance, and achieving outstanding engine pick-up and durability of the inner surface of the cylinder and the piston ring.SOLUTION: Several percents of caustic potash [potassium hydroxide (KOH)] and more than ten percents of nickel (Ni) as lubricant are added to an engine oil by a proper amount, thereby nanosizing the nickel (Ni).
