NEW MATERIAL:A naphthalenesulfonamide derivative shown by formula I (X is halogen; R is amino or hydroxy; m and n are 2 or 3).
EXAMPLE: 1-( 5-Chloronaphthalene-1-sulfonyl )-4-( 2-hydroxyethyl)homopiperazine- fumarate.
USE: Useful as a vasodilator, hypotensor, cerebral circulation improver, remedy for angina pectoris, preventive and remedy for thrombosis of brain-heart blood vessel system. Having strongly inhibiting action on calmodulin and on activity of myosin light chain kinase, relaxing action on smooth muscle and vasodilating action.
PREPARATION: For example, a sulfonyl chloride derivative shown by formula II is reacted with an amine derivative shown by formula II in an organic solvent to give a compound shown by formula I wherein R is hydroxyl group.
