PURPOSE: To obtain a napped cloth having fine uneven surface change by subjecting a cloth using synthetic fiber yarn alternately having bundled part and unbundled parts with random length, respectively, to napping treatment and forming short napped fibers at the bundled part and long napped fibers at the unbundled part.
CONSTITUTION: Compressed air is intermittently blown off on a synthetic fiber yarn such as polyester or polyamide by using a compressed air rotary nozzle to form a textured yarn comprising alternately substantially twisted bundled part as untwisted part and unbundled part as falsely twisted bulky part. The textured yarn used as weft, satin fabric of weft 5 sheets is woven, relaxed scoured, dyed and preset by given methods, and napped to give the objective napped cloth wherein the unbundled part is much more napped, the unbundled part has longer fuzz than the bundled part and the surface has a feeling of unevenness.
