Title:
NAPPED WOVEN FABRIC AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05287667
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To densely nap and to produce napped woven fabric having proper tension and a feeling of toughness.

CONSTITUTION: High shrinking yarn having ≥10%, preferably ≥20% shrinkage percentage in boiling water is used as warp and/or weft and woven to give a woven fabric. Then the woven fabric is napped at least one side and then shrunk. Spandex yarn, thermoplastic synthetic yarn not heat-treated after drawing, and thermoplastic synthetic yarn copolymerized with a third component are used as the high shrinking yarn having ≥10% shrinkage percentage in boiling water. A polyester copolymerized with isophthalic acid and methoxypolyethylene glycol may be cited as the polyester-based yarn and a polyamide copolymerized with hexamethylenediammonium isophthalate as a polyamide yarn. Since the woven fabric using the high shrinking yarn is napped and then shrunk, the woven fabric is shrunk by contraction treatment, napping density is improved and the woven fabric has dense napping. Since the degree of denseness during napping is rough and the woven fabric is readily napped, unevenness of napping does not occur.
