To provide a narrow woven fabric which has a section ensuring sufficient stretchability and can clearly distinguish a non-stretchable section and the stretchable section, and to provide a method for producing the narrow woven fabric.

The narrow woven fabric is characterized by having a non-stretchable section prepared by longitudinally extending and inserting non-stretchable core yarns comprising non-stretchable yarns and stretchable core yarns comprising stretchable yarns into the inside of an outer cylindrical sheet and then sewing the outer cylindrical sheet into an integrated belt-like layered shape with binding yarns, and a stretchable section prepared by inserting binding yarns in parallel to the non-stretchable core yarns and the stretchable core yarns into the inside of the outer cylindrical sheet.
