Abstract:
The assembly (20) has a face mount part (21) with a pair of tubular nasal prongs (22, 23) capable of being fitted into patients nares. A gases flow manifold part (24) is in fluid communication with the part (21). The part (24) has single horizontal side gases entry in fluid communication with an inspiratory conduit. The part (24) terminates at an oval outlet that is aligned with an elongated oval recess in the part (21). Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a breathing assistance apparatus including a nasal cannula assembly (b) a conduit support apparatus for a breathing assistance apparatus to supply gases to a patient by way of a conduit.
