Abstract:
To provide a natural gas engine and a natural gas engine system that can improve fuel economy.SOLUTION: A natural gas engine comprises a cylinder, and a plurality of intake ports connected to the cylinder. A mixture of natural gas and intake air is introduced into the cylinder through the plurality of intake ports, and burnt in the cylinder. The natural gas engine comprises a shield member for shielding a swirl port in the plurality of intake ports depending on an operation condition. For example, the shield member comprises a communication part for causing the swirl port and the cylinder to communicate with each other when the swirl port is shielded.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
