Abstract:

To specify a prescribed grammatical function classification for a constituent by simple processing on a result of parsing.SOLUTION: A natural language processing apparatus as one embodiment of this invention identifies a grammatical function classification indicating a classification of a grammatical function of a constituent consisting of a group of one or more words being constitution units of a sentence and comprises: a parsing unit which parses input text sentences in the units of sentences, and generates a parsing result representing a plurality of constituents and constituent types being types of the respective constituents in hierarchical position relationship between the constituents; and an extraction unit which extracts a constituent belonging to a prescribed grammatical function classification from the plurality of constituents on the basis of the constituent types of the respective constituents and the hierarchical position relationship in the parsing result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
