PURPOSE: To enable natural language analysis with high performance by applying naturaility to a candidate including a prefix word, independent word and suffix word from relation between the meaning and the word order of the prefix word, independent word and suffix word in the independent part of a clause.
CONSTITUTION: In a Japanese syllabary (KANA)/Chinese character (KANJI) conversion processing to convert a KANA character string to a character string mixing the KANA and KANJI and processing to judge the clause to the character string by using a word dictionary 5 holding the information of words, the naturality is applied to the candidate including the prefix word, independent word and suffix word from the relation between the meaning and the word order of the prefix word, independent word and suffix word in the independent part of the clause. Namely, a candidate extracting part 3 executes processing to extract the candidate group for the unit of the 1.5 clause synthesizing the clause and following independent part. A candidate evaluating part 6 evaluates the naturality as the 1.5 clause and applies the naturality to the extracted candidate. A synthetic arithmetic part 7 executes synthetic arithmetic to the naturality of the determined clause, the naturality of the first 1.5 clause and the naturality of the 1.5 clause following the first one clause. Then, the first one clause is determined as the maximum likelihood candidate.
