Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote utilization of a route guide processing which is the most essential function of a navigation apparatus.
SOLUTION: In a simple processing mode, when a vehicle engine is turned on or a vehicle waits for a signal change (S100: YES, S160: YES), an input guidance sound 'Where are you going?' is automatically output from a navigation apparatus 2 (S130). In other words, a user's manipulation required in a normal processing mode (S120) to switch so that a command can be input via voice or input a command via voice, etc., is eliminated. When is necessary is to simply input a required destination via voice in accordance with the input guidance sound from the navigation apparatus 2, so that the manipulation becomes so simple. Since a route guide processing is carried out automatically, the user needs not remember a command to select the route guide processing.
