This navigation device includes: displaying an icon SSA for smooth scroll operation for performing continuous smooth scroll processing to a navigation map image NG1, NG3 or NG6 in a lower right or lower left part on a map image according to the position of driver's seat; performing smooth scroll processing when detecting that the icon SSA for the smooth scroll operation is touch-operated on the navigation map image NG1, NG3 or NG6; executing touch scroll processing when it is detected that a region other than the icon SSA for the smooth scroll operation is touch-operated and, at that time, the distance between the point having been touch-operated and the point being touch-operated is within a certain distance; and executing drag scroll processing when the distance between the point having been touch-operated and the point being touch-operated exceeds the certain distance.
