To calculate an azimuth correctly without using information on a facility changing the azimuth.
This navigation device 1 includes a main system 100 for performing navigation processing or the like, a gyro sensor module 200 for calculating data for calculating the azimuth of a vehicle, and a shock sensor module 300 for detecting vibration of the vehicle. The navigation device 1 also includes a main power source control switch (main SW) 420 for supplying a power source to the main system 100 and the gyro sensor module 200, and a sub-power source control switch (sub-SW) 430 for supplying a power source to the gyro sensor module 200. When detecting impact of the vehicle in the OFF-state of the main power source control switch 420, the shock sensor module 300 switches on the sub-power source control switch 430.
