To provide an NbTi superconducting multi-core for a pulse and an NbTi superconducting molded stranded wire for a pulse capable of providing current carrying stability, low AC loss, and high critical current density at low manufacturing cost.
The NbTi superconducting multi-core 10 for a pulse comprises a core part 16 of an approximately circle shape in cross section formed of stabilizing material, a filament assembly 15 including a plurality of primary wires 14, which are formed by burying an NbTi filament 13 in a copper alloy layer 12 in matrix on an outer periphery of the core part, and a stabilizing layer 17 formed of the stabilizing material as like the core part 16 and arranged on an outer periphery of the filament assembly 15. A copper alloy layer 12 is copper alloy containing one or more kinds of Ni, Mn, and Si. The copper alloy layer 12 has a volume ratio to the NbTi filament 13 in the filament assembly 15 of 0.3-0.6.
