Abstract:
Provided are: a fiber which favorably absorbs near infrared rays from sunlight or the like, exhibits excellent design characteristics, and retains heat; and a fiber product which uses said fiber. Provided is a near infrared ray-absorbing fiber containing composite tungsten oxide fine particles which exhibit near infrared ray-absorbing properties in the interior thereof and/or on the surface thereof, wherein: the composite tungsten oxide fine particles contain a hexagonal crystal structure; the a axis of the lattice constant of the composite tungsten oxide fine particles is 7.3850-7.4186 Å, inclusive, and the c axis thereof is 7.5600-7.6240 Å, inclusive; and the average particle diameter of the composite tungsten oxide fine particles is 100nm or less. Further provided is a fiber product which uses said fiber.
