To provide a near infrared ray-absorbable adhesive composition in which a diimonium salt is stably maintained with a melting state, and crystallized and deposited with uniformly dispersed state when drying, and maintaining a near infrared ray-screening effect without deteriorating the deposited diimonium salt.
The near infrared ray-absorbable adhesive composition contains an acrylic resin having an acid value of 70 or more (A), a diimonium salt solution obtained by dissolving the diimonium salt having a fluorine atom with cation into an organic solvent (B), and a crosslinking agent (C), the organic solvent has an absorption coefficient of 80% or more at a maximum absorption wavelength λmax in an absorption spectrum measured in a range of 400 to 1500 nm with an ultraviolet visible spectrophotometer by adding a supernatant obtained by shaking a mixed solution which mixes 0.01 mass% of the diimonium salt with the organic solvent based on the total mass of the mixed solution for 1 hr and leaving it for 1 hr into a cell having an optical length of 1 cm.
