To provide a near-infrared ray shielding film used on the panel front of light emission-type panel display. especially plasma display through lamination with an electromagnetic wave shielding thin film, and to provide a laminate using the near-infrared ray shielding film.

This near-infrared ray shielding film is a biaxially oriented polyester film containing a near-infrared light absorber; wherein the weight reduction starting temperature of the near-infrared light absorber is ≥280°C, the haze is ≤5% and the respective optical properties in visible light region and near-infrared region meet specific requirements. The laminate composed of the shielding film and an electromagnetic wave shielding thin film laminated on at least one side of the shielding film is also provided.
