Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the death or disintegration of cells of a testee by treating spectrin so as to be substantially modified, making Mammalia immune with this spectrin, and obtaining a blood serum from the Mammalia. SOLUTION: The fiducial value of the whole spectrin quantity including sound spectrin and a spectrin decay product in a biological sample is measured. A biological sample is formed from a testee, and the whole spectrin quantity including sound spectrin and a spectrin decay product is measured. Both measured values are compared, and in case of the latter exceeding the former, the cells of the testee is judged to be dead or disintegrated. These measurements are made by measuring total immunoreactivity using an antibody corresponding to the sound spectrin and spectrin decay product. This antibody treats spectrin in such a way as to be substantially modified so as to make Mammalia other than human beings immune with this spectrin, and the blood serum of the Mammalia is extracted. The death or destruction of cells can therefore be detected early with high sensitivity.
