Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable to effectively remove sphacelation from an injury position, by forming debridement sponge useful for treatment of an injury from nonwoven fabric made of a bundle of strands including hydrophilic fiber with an opening part so as to have specific cloth properties. CONSTITUTION: In sponge 10 manufactured from nonwoven fabric made of strands for yarn of fiber including hydrophilic fiber, strands are formed so as to have plural opening parts by internally connecting the strands at plural connecting parts, The fabric is made so as to have at least 0, 11 g/cm<3> of calculated strand density when the fabric is pressed under 3.3 g/cm<2> pressure and at least 5 g/cloth g of absorbent capacity. The sponge 10 is made by folding a square piece of the above-mentioned nonwoven fabric into, for instance, 4 plies.
