Title:
NEEDLE-BAR STROKE CHANGER OF SEWING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3646067
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle-bar stroke changer of a sewing machine capable of accurately changing needle-bar stroke.
SOLUTION: The needle-bar stroke changer of the sewing machine includes a needle-bar crank attached to an arm shaft, a connecting rod rotatably journaled to a portion of a needle bar, and an eccentric pin having eccentric mating shafts on the right and left for connecting the needle-bar crank and the connecting rod individually to the mating shafts. The changer varies the stroke of the needle bar by varying the condition in which the needle-bar crank mates with the eccentric pin. At least one dent is provided in the end face of the mating shaft mated with the needle-bar crank, along the diameter position of the shaft, and a protrusion is provided in the eccentric-pin mating hole of the needle-bar crank. To vary the needle-bar stroke, the eccentric pin is axially slid from the needle-bar crank and rotated 180°, after which the dent in the eccentric pin is mated again with the protrusion of the needle-bar crank.
