Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent reuse by permanently locking up a needle and a fixture means in a housing when the fixture means is moved from one position to another or the third position through it. CONSTITUTION: A housing 10, entirely hollow, has a fixture means 40 and a needle 42. The fixture means 40 is equipped with a frontal cone member 48 engageable with a tapered top 12 of the housing and a rear cylinder 50 connectivity engaged to either a blood gathering container or an injector container. Another wall 56 of the cylinder 50 is jointed to the frontal member 48 at an index symbol edge 51. The wall 56 has a means to lock the fixture means 40 freely detachable on one of the two positions in the housing 10, in which the first position is where the needle 42 is completely tucked up while the second position is where it is fully extended out. The edge 92 of the fixture means 40 has further a lock pawl 94 to permanently engage with the housing 10 when it is moved backward over the first position to the third position. An opening 96 to function jointly with the pawl 94 is pressed on the wall 24 adjacent to a flange 22.
