PURPOSE: To enable a high piercing density by use of a needle roller by rotating the needle roller on hypocycloidal path and forming a stripper in circular arc- like shape.

CONSTITUTION: This needle roller type needle punch device is composed of a needle roller 7 in which needles 6 are implanted and a stripper 4 and a bedplate in which passage holes for the needles are each board. Since the needle roller 7 rotates about the axis 2 of the roller and rotating axis 3 and at the same time revolves about the axis 3 of revolution in the senses indicated by the arrows 8 and 9, a geometric rolling circle 10 will be generated, which extends around the axis 2 of the roller and rolls in an imaginary stationary circle 11. As a result, each needle 6 describe a hyprocycloidal path while rotating in a virtual stationary circle 11. The stripper 4 forms coaxial circular arc- like pieces to the rotating axis 3.
