To provide a needle roller bearing with a retainer the life of which is not affected by surface roughness of a counterpart member on which the needle roller bearing with a retainer is mounted and which can be mounted cost-effectively on the inner diameter surface of the counterpart member.

A shell member 12, which has a truck surface 12a for needle rollers 11 on inner circumferential surface and a pair of inward flanges 12b at both ends, is integrated on the outer peripheral surface of arrangement of needle rollers 11. Both end outside surfaces of the shell member 12 do not project in the width direction from both end outside surfaces of the retainer 10 and a pair of the inward flanges 12b are set to length that does not reach the width surface of the retainer 10. A gear 16 and washer 17 are provided without contacting a pair of the inward flanges 12b of the shell member 12.
