A hand sewing needle 1 is made of a main structure material 2 of a hard steel wire material and a core material 3 of a superelastic Ni-Ti alloy wire. Even when the main structure material 2 is broken at a part B, since the core material 3 of the superelastic Ni-Ti alloy wire is present, the hand sewing needle 1 is not separated. Also, when force indicated by an arrow is unloaded, the elongation and distortion of the core material 3 of the superelastic Ni-Ti alloy wire are removed, the needle 1 is in a state almost before being bent and this broken needle is easily pulled out of cloth.
