Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a flexible wiry material from protruding outward from the outer peripheral surface in a part on the central side of a body and ensure a sufficient strength around a through-hole when the flexible wiry material is pulled and passed through the through-hole in a part at the end of the body in needles such as a crotchet needle, a knitting needle, a wool needle or a drawstring needle.
CONSTITUTION: The needles 1 are obtained by respectively forming stepped parts 3 recessed to a prescribed dimension to the central axis side of each body on a pair of peripheral surface parts to be mutually symmetrical near a through-hole 5, further forming recessed grooves 4 from the stepped parts 3 to the rear, respectively opening both ends of the through-hole 5 to base parts (4a) of both the recessed grooves 4 and arranging raised parts 6 and 6 in an unstepped form on both lateral sides of the base parts (4a) of the recessed grooves 4 near both the stepped parts 3 so as to remain in the needles 1 having the through-hole 5 in the rear ends of the body thereof. The body of the needles 1 is made of bamboo.
