Abstract:
To provide a negative electrode active material particle, a negative electrode, and a battery, capable of establishing both of high discharge capacity and excellent capacity retention rate.SOLUTION: A negative electrode active material particle contains 10 to 40 at% of Sn and the balance composed of Cu and impurities in atomic composition percentage, and occludes and/or releases metal ions. The negative electrode active material particle has a tabular shape and includes a plane portion, the plane portion includes a plurality of cracks. A negative electrode comprises: a thin film-like or plate-like active material support member; and a negative electrode mixture layer formed on a surface of the active material support member. The negative electrode mixture layer includes negative electrode active material particles and a binding agent inside which negative electrode active material particles are dispersed. A battery comprises the negative electrode, a positive electrode, a separator, and an electrolyte.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
