To provide a negative electrode material for a lithium ion secondary battery arranged so that excellent cycle characteristics can be achieved even when silicon is used, and to provide a negative electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery arranged by use of the negative electrode material, and a lithium ion secondary battery having the negative electrode.
A negative electrode material for a lithium ion secondary battery comprises: a solid content consisting of dispersoid produced by dispersing one or both of silicon and silicon monoxide, and transition metal chalcogenide with solvent coexisting therewith; and a conductive assistant; and a binder. A negative electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery comprises: a current collector; and a negative electrode active material layer formed on the current collector by use of such a negative electrode material for a lithium ion secondary battery. A lithium ion secondary battery comprises such a negative electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery.
