Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an amount of generation of gas in a positive electrode board under float-charging period by raising a hydrogen over-voltage of a negative electrode board high, and further to prevent a dry-up and heat-runup of a battery by raising continuity of its effect. SOLUTION: An active material of the negative electrode board for control valve type lead storage battery is added with lignin sulfonic acid salts shown by the formula. In the formula, R1 and R2 indicate methoxy group.
