Abstract:
[Problem] To propose a negative-pressure suction seal that is capable of easily performing negative-pressure suction even when there is a protruding portion on the surface of an object, and that is further capable of reducing the frictional force between the seal and the surface of the object. [Solution] The negative-pressure suction seal is configured from a seal fixing part, a seal expanding/contracting part, and a seal free end part. The seal expanding/contracting part is configured from a portion that narrows approaching the surface of the object from a portion connected to an inner edge section of the seal fixing part. The seal free end part is configured from a portion that expands further outward from the inner edge section connected to the seal expanding/contracting part. The seal fixing part is fixed to a sucker frame and has an annular sealing member for airtightly connecting an outer peripheral edge section of the sucker frame to an outer peripheral edge section of the seal free end part. An airtight annular space enclosed by an outer peripheral section of the sucker frame, the seal fixing part, the seal expanding/contracting part, the seal free end part, and the annular sealing member is thus formed, a valve mechanism for delivering fluid into the airtight annular space or for discharging fluid from the airtight annular space being provided.
