Title:
NEGATIVE TORQUE/LATERAL STEERING DEVICE FOR HELICOPTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3649754
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a negative torque/lateral steering device provided with no tail rotor exposed to the outside, having no possibility of contact with objects, capable of efficiently generating the thrust sufficient to negate the torque of a main rotor, and having no limitation on the shape design of an airframe like the concurrent use of the circulation control around a tail boom.
CONSTITUTION: The air current fed to the rear of a tail boom is blown out as a jet current in nearly the vertical and horizontal directions to the aircraft axis from a blowout port 10 at the tail section of an airframe, air is sucked into the air passage of a shroud 6 at the tail section of the airframe via the ejector effect, and the air is fed from one side of the airframe to the other side. The air current is accelerated by a lip-like air inlet end section of the air passage and a lip-like air inflow tip section of a core 8 via the lip suction effect.
