To easily treat the surface of a neodymium magnet in a short time without needing a high-cost treating equipment by a method wherein the magnet is surface-treated with a quick drying fluorine resin solution.
A quick drying fluorine resin film 12 is applied on the surface of a circular ring-shaped neodymium magnet main body 11. This film 12 is formed if a quick fluorine resin solution is simply coated on the surface of the magnet main body 11 and has only to be spontaneously dried. As this solution, a solution formed by compounding about 70 to 79 wt.% of a fluorine solvent with about 1 to 10 wt.% of an additive solvent and about 20 to 30 wt.% of a fluorine resin is used. Moreover, this film 12 is made transparent to coat the surface of the magnet main body 11, then a crack or the like in the surface of the magnet main body 11 is made it possible to discriminate through this transparent film 12. Thereby, a neodymium magnet is easily surface-treated in a short time without needing a high-cost treating equipment and the productivity of the magnet is increased.
