To provide a netlike knitted or woven fabric for civil engineering used not only for improving soft grounds or reinforcing bankings but also useful even for preventing peeling and falling of concrete, falling of rock, etc.
The netlike knitted or woven fabric for civil engineering is obtained by knitting or weaving a fiber yarn composed of a para-type wholly aromatic polyamide, especially copoly-para-phenylene 3,4'-oxydiphenylene terephthalamide. The netlike knitted or woven fabric has at least three axes. A specific amount of a resin is applied. Thereby, the tensile strength at 5% elongation of the netlike knitted or woven fabric is 60 to 100 kN/m in the warp direction and 20 to 40 kN/m in the weft direction. The creep elongation under 40% load of the maximum tensile strength of one weft yarn is ≤10%.
