When the computer terminal to which the telephone card TC is connected to the communication line of the line switchboard, the line switchboard detects the line connection, and discrimination information for access to each line switchboard and line storage position information of the line switchboard to which the computer terminal is connected are reported to the computer terminal through the telephone card, and the position of the computer terminal on the network is recognized, and reported information are stored in the computer terminal.
