Abstract:
To conveniently recognize the propriety of an auto negotiation and a state of a signal waveform, without having to use a dedicated measuring instrument.
When a signal is inputted (step 201), a received signal waveform is monitored, when a FLPFLP is detected, an operable maximum speed is detected (step 203) because of corresponding to the auto negotiation, when an NLP is detected (step 205), the signal is decided as noncorresponding to the auto negotiation to select a 10BASE-T (step 206), when an MLT-3 is in an idle state (step 207), the signal is decided as being non-corresponding to auto negotiation and a 100BASE-TX (step 208) is selected, and the transmission and reception of data are respectively carried out (step 204).
