Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore a work environment to the previous state when power supply is restarted after abrupt interruption.
SOLUTION: A network hibernation system is constituted of a power source managing section which outputs an overtime signal when no event is generated, a power source section 3 for backing-up data which outputs a power supply interruption detecting signal when the power supply is interrupted and, when a power supply interrupt signal is inputted, interrupts the power supply from a battery, a control section q1 which sets a computer to a hibernating state after backing-up data when the power supply interrupt detecting or overtime signal is inputted and restores backup data and work environment when the power supply is restarted, a network interface section 4, an auxiliary storage device 5 for storing hardware state data or data for backing-up work environment, and a memory 6 for storing hibernation information.
