Title:
NETWORK INTERFACE BOARD, DIGITAL COPYING MACHINE AND COMPUTER READABLE MEMORY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3809216
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user of a local area network to use plural functions of a copying machine through a network I/F board, to allow different users to use different functions and to allow plural users to use a scanning and printer function in parallel.
SOLUTION: In a copying machine with an I/F bus connecting to a multi- device controller 20, the controller 20 controls each board connecting to itself by master/slave communication executed via a CPU bus 24. A NIB(network interface board) 50 uses image data sent via a video bus 30 to send a scanning and print function of the copying machine to a LAN regarded as a controller. A processor of the I/F board reads or writes image data from/to a video bus in response to a master/slave access command. A multi-taking processor replies a request of the LAN as to the scanning and printing service and processes simultaneously the scanning and printing service. Another service is conducted via the NIB 50 with another option board connecting to the MDC(multi device controller) 20.
