Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp the assignment state of IP addresses to each node in a network without a time lag.
SOLUTION: The network management system that manages various states of each node 12 whose IP address is dynamically assigned by an IP address assignment section 13 integrated in a network, is provided with a management database 23 that stores at least a name of a corresponding node, an IP address and an operating state for each node, a management information output means that outputs storage contents of the management database as management information to each node, an assignment information collection means 26 that collects revision of the assignment information in the IP address assignment section when the IP address assignment section revises assignment information of the IP address to each node, and a database management means 24 that updates storage contents of the management database into the newest information based on the assignment information of the IP address of each node collected by the assignment information collection means.
