To improve convenience for a user in a store, reduce missing of opportunity for the store, and simultaneously manage a user visiting a store and a virtual user making a reservation via a network.
A networked reservation system has a commodity reservation server 30, a POS apparatus 40, an RFID reader/writer 50, and a commodity package 60 including an RFID label 61. On the RFID label 61, information on a lending status of a rental commodity, an expected return date, and the like is recorded. The commodity package 60 has a status display lamp 62 for displaying the lending status in response to storage information of the RFID label 61. The commodity reservation server 30 updates display information on the network 20 according to the storage information of the RFID label 61, and meanwhile transmits, to a user terminal 10, a notice of disapproved lending if lending processing for the same rental commodity has been performed, or a reservation completion notice if not so, in ten seconds or less via the POS apparatus 40, after a tentative reservation has been made from the user terminal 10.
