Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a network structure, excellent in heat resistance, durability, shape retaining and cushioning properties, hardly becoming musty and suitable as a cushioning material and a cushion product using the network structure and provide a method for producing the network structure.
CONSTITUTION: This network structure is obtained by meandering continuous filaments, having g 100 to ≤100000 denier size, comprising two kinds of thermoplastic elastic resins and formed into a complex structure, bringing the filaments into mutual contact and forming a three- dimensional network structure in which most of the contact parts are fused. The resultant network structure has ≥0.05 to ≤0.20g/cm3 apparent density. This product uses the network structure and is converted into seats for vehicles and ships, various beds and chairs for furniture and business uses. The characteristic of this method for producing a complex network structure comprises distributing two kinds of thermoplastic elastic resins before each nozzle orifice so as to enable compounding, discharging the resins from the nozzles downward at a temperature of (the melting point of the low-melting component +120°C) to (the melting point of the high-melting component +10°C), bringing the discharged filaments in a melt state into mutual contact, fusing the filaments, inserting the filaments into a takeoff device while forming a three-dimensional structure, cooling the formed random loop structure in a cooling bath and forming the network structure.
