Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the deterioration of communication efficiency in an access to the Internet.SOLUTION: A destination identification unit in CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) identifies whether a destination of communication data received from a terminal in an RHNW (Real Home Network) is within a VHNW (Virtual Home Network) or the Internet. When the identified communication data destination is within the VHNW, a tunneling processing unit executes security processing and L2 (Layer 2) encapsulation processing on the communication data, whereas when the destination is the Internet, the tunneling processing unit executes L2 encapsulation processing on the communication data. A communication unit transmits to a VHGW (Virtual Home Gateway) the communication data after being processed by the tunneling processing unit. A tunneling processing unit in the VHGW receives the communication data from the CPE, to cancel the processing of the tunneling processing unit in the CPE. The communication unit transmits the communication data whose processing is canceled to the destination.
