PURPOSE: To attain a processing system having a high S/N ratio by setting the different levels of intensity in the transmission process of the output signals of neurons between the signals outputted from the neurons which are not so significant and the signals outputted from the significant neurons in regard of the extraction of features.

CONSTITUTION: The output signal of a certain neuron is transmitted to another neuron via a current. At the same time, the signal coupling intensity is weighted when the output signals p10 of neurons of the higher layers are distributed to (n) pieces of neurons at the branch points of a signal transmission line. So that the total sum (p11+p12+...+ p1n) of signals distributed to the neurons the lower layers is equal to the level of the signal p10 of a signal source.
