Abstract:
PURPOSE:To carry out neutral paper making in improved yield of filler, fine fiber, etc. and simultaneously enhanced filtering properties on a paper machine, by adding a cationic water-soluble high polymer and acidic clay, etc., together to a paper making slurry containing filler. CONSTITUTION:(A) Cationic water-soluble high polymer [preferably cation modified starch, cationic acrylamide based polymer, cationic acrylamide based polymer, polyethylene imine (modified product) or cation modified guar gum containing preferably tert. amino group or quaternary ammonium group] and (B) at least either one clays among acidic clay and active clay are together added to a raw material slurry of pH6-9.5 containing filler (preferably calcium carbonate) to carry out neutral paper making.
