Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neutron absorber used when reflooding a reactor pressure vessel, having sufficient neutron absorption capacity, and not having problems of a bad influence by deposition in a circulation cooling system or decline of visibility caused by turbidity of cooling water in the reactor pressure vessel; and to provide an application method thereof.SOLUTION: Boron is shaped as a ball 6 which is dispersed in an outer shell part, and not floating on the water but drifting in the water.
