Abstract:

To detect a high-intensity neutron flux, prevent operation from becoming unstable when a large number of neutrons are irradiated, and measure a neutron flux directly.

The neutron detector using a neutron scintillator as a neutron detection medium, comprises a frame 22 formed with a plurality of holes, the neutron scintillators 24 fitted into the holes 22a formed in the frame 22, a multi-anode photomultiplier tube 30 forming photoelectric surface pixels to which output signals from the neutron scintillators 24 are input, and a photodetection section for obtaining a neutron image on the basis of output signals from the photoelectric surface pixels.
