To effectively prevent mixing of noises in a signal transmission cable, in a neutron monitor for monitoring neutron flux of a reactor.
The neutron monitor includes a neutron flux detector, pre-amplifier 101 and a signal processor, as well as signal transmission cables 102 and 105 for transmitting signal between them. The signal transmitting cables have an electric potential forming shield 109, forming electric potential for signal between the core wires 107. A shield cable, having one or more outer shields 111 outside the electric potential forming shield, is used. The electric potential forming shield is grounded, via the rack of the pre-amplifier and the outer shield, is grounded with a conductor for commonly grounding with the electric potential forming shield. For such a neutron monitor, a capacitor 115 with a larger electrostatic capacity than the capacity to ground 117 caused in the outer shield is interposed in the outer shield grounding.
