Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compound having both of an acetylene-type unsaturated compound and an adamantyl-type group, having remarkable activities in the fields of differentiation and growth of cell, and useful for skin diseases associated with keratinization disorder, rheumatism or the like.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I {X is H or a halogen; R1 is H, CH3 or CH2OR4 [R4 is H or a lower alkyl; Ar is formula II to formula V (R11 is H, a halogen, a lower alkyl or the like) or the like; R2 is H, a halogen, a 1-20C alkyl, OCHOCH2CH2OCH3 or OR13 (R13 is H or a 1-20C alkyl)]; R3 is OCHOCH2 CH2OCH3 or (Y)n(CH2)qR14 [Y is O, S or the like; (n)=0, 1; (q)=0-12; R14 is H, a lower alkyl, an alkenyl or an alkynyl]}, for example, 4-[3(1-adamantyl)-4- methoxyphenylethyl]benzoic acid. Further, a compound of the present invention may be obtained, for example, by coupling a zinc derivative obtained by converting an acetylene derivative with a halogenated derivative in the presence of a palladium catalyst in a solvent such as THF, and the like.
